Olivia Prokopova wins her 5th US Open in Mossy Creek MiniGolf Jefferson City, TN

At one of the most exciting venues in the USPMGA, the story ended the same as last years USPMGA Masters,  Olivia Prokopova won her fifth US OPEN down the final 5 holes.  Always consistent and always within striking distance Olivia captured the tournament on what appeared to be the 15th hole of the last round.

Olivia Prokopová won this year’s US Pro Mini Golf Association US Open at Mossy Creek Mini Golf in Jefferson City, TN. Prokopová had to come from behind from a 2 shot deficit in the final round to overtake Gary Hester (Calabash, NC). Prokopová finished the 10 round event shooting a 351 (-9), average of 35.1 strokes per round). Prokopová led the field with 32 aces for the entire tournament.

With Gary Hester leading by one stroke with 5 holes to go Olivia pulled off a miracle shot that carried off one of the brick lines and into the cup.  From there all she had to do was par out to ward off the oncoming Rainey Statum.   Olivia, Gary, and Rainey are used to seeing each other in the final moments of majors in the USPMGA.

Congratulations to all the Division top three finishers

On Sunday May the 22nd,  Joey Graybeal defeated John Ventura 2&1 in the final match play to take home the first USPMGA match play final in the Pro Division
